The board aims to appoint a Trustee to complement the existing team, with previous board or director experience, business acumen, strong community connections and not for profit governance experience.  The successful applicant will have a willingness to work strategically and collaborate with others to achieve the organisation vision. 

MS Waikato’s vision is “Supporting ‘Our People’ to live their best lives”.  Our mission is “To support, inform and empower ‘Our People’ whilst raising awareness in the community”.

In particular, MS Waikato is seeking candidates with skills/experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Marketing & Communication
  • Fundraising
  • Health Sector
  • Counselling Services & Advocacy

The board meet 6 weekly on a Thursday, 5.15pm at Your Way – Kia Roha on Palmerston Street.  Meetings may last up to 2 hours; additional time may sometimes be required depending on the actions from the meeting.
